However, if you are crafty, and want to take your sailboat themed birthday party to the next level, we think you’ll love today’s fun ideas to complement our Nautical Party Pack.  We have ideas for food, decor and activities today!

1. This edible sailing vessel is perfect for a celebration or an everyday snack!  It’s made of red bell pepper, cheese slices, and pretzel sticks.  Genius!  Head to Family Fun for the details on how to make your own.

2. Martha gives step by step instructions on how to make this adorable place card.  The Life Savers are definitely my favorite part!

3. Love these handmade boats by mini-eco.  You can probably make this with what you already have on hand and some twigs from the yard!  These would be cute on your table or as an activity with build-your-own!

4. Love how this version of the origami sailboat from D. Sharp is made from a map!  Also love that she used it as a gift topper – clever!

5. And if you need some party activities, we’ve got you covered.  How much fun would the little ones have coloring with our cute themed crayons on beautiful sailboat illustrations like this (one of many) from Coloring Pages for Kids.  Just print them out and leave them as placemats on the table for the little ones to decorate!

6. After snack, put the kiddos to work making these juice box boats to float in the bath tub (or kiddie pool if it is warm enough outside!) with this tutorial from Skip to My Lou.  Provide stickers and our crayons to decorate their sails.

We’d love to hear your ideas for nautical birthday parties!  Please share in the comments!
