Cupcake Decorating Activity

G & I both are blessed amazing sisters and sisters-in-law and we are excited to get their party advice up on the site to share with you.  Today is a guest post from my sis-in-law "T".  Enjoy her great idea for a celebration!  I have a feeling you'll be hearing more from her in the future!

Halloween is fast approaching and it’s a great reason to party!
So you’ve got the Halloween Party Pack and you’ve got some great (Halloween Party Yummies) ready to go, but still need to decorate all those cupcakes before the little ghosts and goblins arrive?  Here’s an idea that will save you from having to decorate cupcakes and also lets the little ones join in on a fun activity! Set up an easy cupcake decorating station around a large table and let them create their own creepy crawly cupcakes!

What you’ll need:

1.    8 young witches, goblins, werewolves, or superheroes who love cupcakes.

2.    24 prepared & frosted cupcakes.  Try this Almond Buttercream Frosting recipe from What’s Cooking in the Orange Kitchen.

An assortment of your favorite little Halloween candies & cupcake decorations:
1 bowl of hard sugar coated chocolate Halloween candies
1 bowl of gummy candy shaped like worms
    1 bowl of candy corn
    1 bowl of Halloween sprinkles

4. Place 3 cupcakes on a paper plate for each child.
5. Give each child a spoon to scoop their desired decorating candies from the bowls to their plates.
6. Let them create their very own Halloween cupcake masterpiece!

When they are finished, give each child one cupcake topper from the party pack to place ont he cupcake they want to eat during the party.  Wrap up each child’s remaining two personally decorated cupcakes for him/her to take with them after the party to enjoy at home!
