Pumpkin Carving Templates

We have held a few pumpkin carving parties in our day (pre-baby) and think our little guy might almost be old enough this year to be trusted around a table full of knives (and more importantly, be trusted to restrain himself from throwing pumpkin innards at everyone).  It seems we might be running a bit late in planning the festivities, but then again, one of our party packs would make the perfect instant party in a box for your pumpkin carving party!  You can't carve them too early or the pumpkins won't last until Halloween, so you still have time to order!

It is fun to see what creativity our friends have when they start carving.  But if you are like me and just don't have the artistic skills to free-hand your carving, there are some great and easy free patterns out there for you to print!  It's easy - just print, tape (or pin) to the face of the pumpkin you want to do the carving on, and follow the lines!  Thanks to my sister-in-law, here's a list of free resources for your next carving party!

A few fun characters for the Disney fans including this Mickey pattern can be found at the Disney Family site here.

Babble did a great roundup on printable patterns here
Pumpkin Glow has some non-traditional patterns, including a good assortment of patriotic ones.  Everyone needs to carve their own Mount Rushmore! :)

And of course, from our good friend, Martha Stewart, over 40 different patterns from fun faces to silhouettes, including some more advanced pumpkin projects:

We'd love to see what you carve up!  Make sure to share your pics!
