Our Cookie Exchange

If you don't follow us on facebook or twitter, you might not have realized that we had our annual cookie exchange on Monday and it was a great success!!  We had some last minute cancellations, but ended up with a group of 6 ladies and a LOT of cookies.  We combined our cookie exchange with a handmade gift exchange (and boy, were there some amazing handmade gifts!).

G is really the hostess with the mostest and thinks of every little touch.  Her house is perfect for entertaining and is often the location of our events.  Her holiday decorations were beautiful!  And her party touches were even more amazing.

She has a sideboard in her dining room that she used to set up some extra treats. She had the favors (from our party pack of course) displayed in the top of her tiered display.  The platter you see in front is her Gooey Butter Cake (decadent!!) in our wax paper bags.

Wondering what those cutie little jugs are?  Well G was inspired by something she'd seen in a special edition magazine by BH&G and made all the guests a little bottle with an adorable felt tree on it and filled them with Puppy Chow (YUM!).  Just another nice little gift from the hostess with the mostest.

These are her cookie creation - the delicious chocolate crinkles!!  You can see our little menu cards (from our Cookie Exchange Party Pack) made for an adorable display with the beautiful platter of cookies.

Seriously, those are GOOD cookies!

In another brilliant move in party decor, G used this adorable jug to hold milk for her guests!  How perfect to serve milk at a cookie exchange!!  Love how placing it on the weathered box gives it a special place of honor on the table!

After an amazing night of laughter and sugar and handmade gifts, we packed up our treats and toted them home in our favor bags with cute little recipe card envelopes.  By the way, you know those Ziploc containers that they are selling in pretty colors for the holidays?  They fit PERFECTLY in our bags!!

There was definitely a good time had by all.  And perhaps about 1000 extra calories.  But who's counting during the holiday season?  Hope your cookie exchange is a smash like ours.  And don't forget - there's still time to order our party pack to make your festivities a hit!
