Flower Party - Floral Themed Food Finds

Spring is the perfect time of year to have a party with a floral theme!! In our book, it is the perfect theme for a little girl’s birthday party, a birthday bash for your BFF or sis, a Mother’s Day brunch, or a bridal or baby shower!  It’s such a versatile theme!

You know we love party themes that carry through to the food, so today we are devoting our Friday Finds to cute floral themed foods to serve at your big event. Of course if you need some help with the décor and invitations, head on over to our shop and pick up one of our many beautiful floral packs.  You can find them here and here.

5. I found this gorgeous cake image on Pinterest – it is from Lisa Hubbard Photography’s food portfolio.  There are no instructions, but it seems pretty straight forward – dot your cake with raspberries and blueberries, and surround those berries with petals of sliced almonds.  GORGEOUS.

6. I am Baker gives step by step instructions to make this beautiful rose frosted cake!  It looks surprisingly easy!

7. I love this beautiful Hummingbird Cake from Martha.  You’ll be shocked to find out what the flowers are – dried slices of pineapple!

8. Daisy flower sugar cookies from Sweetopia. Find the recipe and instructions over at Tomkat Studio.
9. Modeling Chocolate Rose Tutorial from Jessicakes.
10. Of course our Candied Lemon Drop Martini would be a good addition!  Remember to check out G’s great Edible Flower Monday Munchies post too!

Finally, don’t forget we did a Friday Finds post on some wonderful floral craft ideas here as well!

We’d love to hear your floral party ideas - food or otherwise!  Please share them on our Facebook page!
