Summer Entertaining: Beach Parties

Not all of us (particularly those of us in Colorado) can enjoy a beautiful party at the beach.  Salty warm air, the sound of the waves, a big beautiful bonfire – lovely! But there is no reason for us landlocked folks to miss throwing a wonderful beach bash.

Today I’m sharing some ideas for throwing your own beach party – whether it is authentic on the sand or simply in your backyard.
If you are bringing your beach party home, greet your guests with these beautiful shell wreaths!
1. Follow instructions to make a gorgeous shell wreath from My Romantic Home.

2. Make a graphic clamshell wreath with instructions from Martha.

3. I love this seashell wreath from My Growing Home!

These gorgeous mantels can be used for inspiration (the garlands would be great party décor) or simply recreated on your own mantel to serve as a party backdrop!
4. Lots of fun DIY beach projects on this beautiful mantel from Craftberry Bush – love the shell displays and starfish garland!

5. This mantel from Finding Home features a gorgeous banner made of shells and starfish hung from a rope with twine.

Here are some other décor ideas from the experts!
6. Make some easy beachy centerpieces with instructions from HGTV.

7. Make your own seashell candles with instructions from Martha.

8. Or make your own seashell string lights based on her instructions.

If you are looking for themed party food, we can’t forget the cupcakes!
9. Add marzipan shells (found at stores like World Market) or make chocolate shells to place on top of frosted cupcakes like these from Sweetopia.

10. Make Shark and Beach Cupcakes with Martha.

11. Frost any cupcake with graham cracker sand and marzipan starfish like these from Martha.

Here are some more beachy sweet treats.
12. These cookie palm trees from Random Thoughts of a Supermom would be perfect treats and serve as décor!

13. Serve these sand dollar cookies from Delicious Inspiration.

14. These Mini Mochi Coconut Seashells from Kirbie’s Cravings look delicious!

And here are some favors to send home with your guests.
15. These cute beachy favors from Martha are little pails filled with candy pebbles placed in trays full of turbinado sugar or graham cracker crumbs for “sand”.

16. Make beautiful gift buckets as favors for your guests like these beautiful ones from Bellenza!!

Hope your weekend is full of sand and sun!

Amazing post!! I love it so much and I enjoyed this post. Designing natural does not compromise style. Home decorating is more than a chore; it's a living form of art, a breathing, growing, evolving celebration of the world you inhabit. It actually gives you new-fangled flair, making you a unique earth-loving designer. Thanks for nice sharing.
