Pumpkin Seeds

One thing that is aplenty at any pumpkin carving party is the pumpkin seeds.  And if you are brave enough to separate those little nuggest from the rest of the goo (not a fan of that part) you will be be greatly rewarded with a yummy snack!  Don't throw them away - try one of these amazing recipes!

Pumpkin Seeds

1. Bobby Flay has a recipe for Spicy Roasted Pumpkin Seeds (of course, he couldn't grill them so they had to be spicy, right??).

2. The Serious Eats website has a post here on five different recipes, including Cinnamon Sugar Roasted Seeds and Ginger Orange Zest Roasted Seeds (that one sounds interesting!).

3. Emeril has a recipe here for "Hilda's Roasted Pumpkin Seeds" with garlic powder and crushed red pepper.

4. And finally, these Toasted Pumpkin Seeds with Sugar and Spice will get you in the mood for Thanksgiving - this recipe uses sugar and pumpkin pie spice!

But if you aren't willing to stick your hand inside the pumpkin brains (or just want to have a festive bowl of seeds at your party BEFORE you do any carving), apparently you can find chocolate covered pumpkin seeds in your local store! (Thanks, T!)

Happy Snacking!
