Some people might prefer the afternoons and evenings for fun festivities, but I think brunch is a fabulous time of day for a get-together. Who doesn't love to eat breakfast foods for lunch on the weekend (especially if there is something to celebrate with friends and family)? I know I do! Brunch parties are great for baby showers, bridal showers, and birthdays. So why not plan one for your next special occasion? Here's some ideas to get you started:
The celebratory cupcake tower would sure look great filled with these lovely little Mimosa Cupcakes found over at lizinlife.
Now for the food. Something savory? Picky Palate offers up these scrumptious Double Cheese & Bacon Egg Biscuits.
Something gooey and sweet? Try this Cinnamon French Toast Bake from The Gourmand Mom.
Maybe it needs something a little healthy, too... like this Citrus Wallop Fruit Salad from Everybody Likes Sandwiches.
Of course, brunch isn't brunch without pancakes! Might I suggest my very own Sunday Morning Lemon Poppy Seed Pancakes? Light, fluffy, and perfect topped with fresh berries and a dollop of whip cream! You can find them here at Allrecipes.com.
What else could you possibly want for brunch? Well, maybe these decadent little S'mores Doughnuts I found over at Tartlette.
Don't forget the drinks! For the kids? Smoothies! This POM Berry Smoothie from Multiply Delicious looks pretty tasty. I bet the grown-ups wouldn't mind a sip or two either!
But brunch isn't complete without a mimosa or two, so here's some Bubbly ideas from the Kitchn.
Now isn't the rest of the weekend going to be so much more enjoyable after a party like that?
